แนวคิด
แม่น้ำเปรียบเหมือนหัวใจและเส้นเลือดของแผ่นดินที่หล่อเลี้ยงชีวิต ชุบชูธรรมชาติ และสร้างวัฒนธรรม ปัจจุบันมีความเปลี่ยนแปลงมากมายเกิดขึ้นกับแม่น้ำ หากเราติดตามความเป็นไปเกี่ยวกับแม่น้ำ เราจะพบเรื่องราวที่ควรค่าแก่การเล่าสู่ เปิดเผย ผลักดัน เรียกร้อง และส่งเสียงแทนเหล่าแม่น้ำ ที่เราอาจรู้จักน้อยกว่าที่คิด
ขอบเขตพื้นที่ถ่ายภาพ
ชวนมองภาพกว้างไปยังแม่น้ำที่ไหลเชื่อมโยงกันในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยเฉพาะแม่น้ำสายหลัก ได้แก่ แม่น้ำโขง แม่น้ำอิรวดี แม่น้ำสาละวิน แม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา และแม่น้ำแดง หรือจะเป็นแม่น้ำสายอื่นๆ ใกล้ตัวคุณ โดยสามารถตีความเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับแม่น้ำได้อย่างอิสระ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นมุมมองด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม สัตว์ป่า พรรณพืช ผู้คนและวิถีชีวิต หรือเล่าความเป็นไปของแม่น้ำ ข้อเท็จจริง รวมถึงเผยปัญหาที่แม่น้ำและมนุษย์เผชิญอยู่
หรือนอกจากเล่าเรื่อง “แม่น้ำ” ตรงๆ คุณสามารถตีความหรือขยายความคำว่า “Follow ติดตาม” ได้อย่างอิสระ เมื่อติดตามความเป็นไปของแม่น้ำคุณย่อมเห็นความเชื่อมโยงกันกับแหล่งน้ำอื่น อาจจะเล่าเรื่องลำคลองที่เชื่อมต่อกับแม่น้ำ แหล่งน้ำกร่อยรอยต่อระหว่างน้ำจืดสู่น้ำเค็มก็ย่อมได้ คุณจะตีความหรือขยายความคำว่า “ Follow ติดตาม” ออกมาอย่างไร มีมิติให้เล่าได้อีกมากมาย
การส่งผลงาน

- ผู้ส่งผลงานเข้าประกวดต้องส่งภาพถ่ายที่สามารถร้อยเรียงกัน 10 ภาพ เป็นสารคดีภาพ 1 เรื่อง พร้อมแนวคิดสารคดีความยาวไม่เกิน 1,000 ตัวอักษร ที่สะท้อนมุมมองและแง่คิดใหม่ๆ
- ภาพถ่ายทั้ง 10 ภาพ ต้องมีคำบรรยายภาพแต่ละภาพ (ความยาวไม่เกิน 300 ตัวอักษร)
หลักเกณฑ์การตัดสิน
- ความงามและองค์ประกอบทางศิลปะของภาพถ่าย
- ความคิดริเริ่มสร้างสรรค์ และมุมมองใหม่ในการนำเสนอสารคดีภาพ
- ภาพถ่ายทุกภาพควรมีคุณสมบัติของ “ภาพถ่ายสารคดี” ที่ร้อยเรียงและเล่าเป็นสารคดี 1 เรื่องได้

เงื่อนไขการประกวด
- ผู้มีสิทธิ์ส่งผลงาน : บุคคลทั่วไป ช่างภาพอิสระ หรือช่างภาพอาชีพ ไม่จำกัดอายุ (เดี่ยวหรือทีมก็ได้ หากส่งในนามทีมต้องไม่เกิน 3 คน/ ทีม) และ 1 รายชื่อมีสิทธิ์ส่งสารคดีภาพได้เพียง 1 เรื่องเท่านั้น
- ภาพถ่ายสารคดีชุดนี้ต้องไม่เคยเผยแพร่ในที่สาธารณะ อาทิ เว็บไซต์, วารสาร, นิตยสาร, หนังสือ หรือได้รับการตีพิมพ์ รวมทั้งต้องไม่เคยส่งเข้าประกวดที่ใดมาก่อน (หากตรวจพบภายหลัง ผลงานดังกล่าวจะถูกตัดสิทธิ์ในการประกวดทันที)
- ภาพถ่ายที่เคยเผยแพร่ในโซเชียลมีเดีย เช่น Facebook หรือ Instagram จะต้องเป็นบัญชีส่วนตัวของเจ้าของผลงานเท่านั้น โดยไม่ได้เผยแพร่เป็นชุดครบทุกภาพ และไม่เคยเผยแพร่ในรูปแบบการเล่าเรื่องด้วยแนวคิดสารคดีมาก่อน
- ภาพถ่ายที่มีการปรับแต่งภาพ (Retouch) จนผิดหรือบิดเบือนไปจากความเป็นจริง จะไม่ได้รับการพิจารณา
- ผู้ส่งผลงานเข้าประกวดต้องเป็นผู้ถ่ายภาพ และเขียนแนวคิดสารคดีด้วยตนเอง ไม่ได้เป็นภาพที่สร้างขึ้นโดยระบบปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI – Articial Intellegence) รวมถึงเป็นเจ้าของลิขสิทธิ์ภาพถ่ายทุกภาพ และต้องไม่เป็นการละเมิดในทางลิขสิทธิ์ใดๆ
- การส่งผลงาน ส่งผลงานทางออนไลน์ สามารถส่งไฟล์แบบ Low resolation ขนาดไฟล์ไม่เกิน 10 MB. ต่อ 1 ภาพ หากผลงานได้รับการเลือกให้เข้ารอบ 10 ผลงานสุดท้าย ต้องมีไฟล์ raw เพื่อยืนยันว่าความเป็นเจ้าของภาพ และเตรียมไฟล์ภาพ High Resolution ขนาดไม่เกิน 30 MB (หรือด้านยาวมากที่สุด 5000 pixel) ต่อ 1 ภาพ เพื่อส่งให้ทีมงาน
- เจ้าของ 10 ผลงานที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกเข้ารอบสุดท้าย ยินดีอนุญาตให้บริษัทอมรินทร์ คอร์เปอเรชั่นส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) นำภาพถ่ายที่ส่งเข้าประกวดไปใช้ในกิจกรรมเพื่อการโฆษณาและประชาสัมพันธ์ ในรูปแบบสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ สื่ออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ และนิทรรศการภาพถ่าย ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโครงการนี้
- เจ้าของ 10 ผลงานที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกเข้ารอบสุดท้าย ยินดีอนุญาตให้บริษัทผู้สนับสนุนโครงการทั้งหมด นำภาพไปใช้ในกิจกรรมเพื่อการโฆษณาและประชาสัมพันธ์ ในรูปแบบสื่ออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโครงการนี้เท่านั้น ภายในระยะเวลา 12 เดือน
- เจ้าของ 10 ผลงานที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกเข้ารอบสุดท้าย ยินดีอนุญาตให้ผู้สนับสนุนหลักของโครงการ นำผลงานไปใช้ในการตีพิมพ์ในส่วนหนึ่งของหนังสือ (Booklet) เพื่อเผยแพร่เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับ “แม่น้ำ” ภายในระยะเวลา 12 เดือน
- เจ้าของผลงานสารคดีภาพที่ได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศ รางวัลรองชนะเลิศอันดับ 1 และรองชนะเลิศอันดับ 2 จะสามารถนำผลงานไปตีพิมพ์ในสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์อื่นๆ นอกเหนือจากนิตยสารเนชั่นแนล จีโอกราฟฟิก ฉบับภาษาไทย หลังการประกาศผลอย่างเป็นทางการแล้ว 6 เดือน ยกเว้นเป็นไปเพื่อการเผยแพร่และประชาสัมพันธ์โครงการนี้เท่านั้น
- ผลงานที่ส่งเข้าประกวดหากผิดกติกาอย่างหนึ่งอย่างใดข้างต้นจะไม่ได้รับการพิจารณา
- คณะกรรมการตัดสินขอสงวนสิทธิ์ในการกำหนดรูปแบบและวิธีการตัดสิน และการตัดสินของคณะกรรมการถือเป็นที่สิ้นสุด

- Popular Vote: ร่วมโหวตภาพประทับใจที่สุด วันที่ 30 สิงหาคม – 15 กันยายน 2567 ผ่านทาง Facebook: National Geographic Thailand
- รอบนำเสนอ: ผู้เข้ารอบทั้ง 10 ผลงาน ต้องมานำเสนอผลงานต่อคณะกรรมการ วันศุกร์ที่ 30 สิงหาคม 2567 (สถานที่จะแจ้งให้ทราบภายหลัง)
- ประกาศผลและรับรางวัล: วันเสาร์ที่ 28 กันยายน 2567 ในงาน Sustainability Expo 2024 ณ ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์
- จัดแสดงนิทรรศการผลงานที่ได้รับรางวัล ในงาน Sustainability Expo 2024 ณ ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์ ระหว่างวันที่ 27 กันยายน – 6 ตุลาคม 2567
- ติดตามผลงานที่ได้รับรางวัลได้ทาง www.ngthai.com
ขั้นตอนการส่งผลงาน
- ลงทะเบียน คลิกที่นี่ ตั้ง ID และ Password พร้อมกรอกข้อมูลสำคัญให้ครบถ้วน
- Sign in เข้าระบบสมาชิก
- ผู้สมัคร 1 ท่าน หรือ 1 ทีม (ไม่เกิน 3 คน) ต้องส่งผลงานทั้งหมด 10 ภาพ ที่ร้อยเรียงต่อกันเป็นสารคดี 1 เรื่อง ก่อนอัพโหลดควรตั้งชื่อไฟล์พร้อมหมายเลขกำกับ
- กด “อัพโหลดภาพประกวด” ให้อัพโหลดภาพถ่ายดิจิตอลสีหรือขาวดำ ภาพแต่ละภาพต้องมีขนาดไฟล์ไม่เกิน 10 MB โดย Upload ภาพเรียงตามลำดับในการเล่าเรื่อง พร้อมใส่คำบรรยายภาพแต่ละภาพ (คำบรรยายไม่เกิน 300 ตัวอักษร)
- ตั้งชื่อสารคดีภาพที่ส่งเข้าประกวด
- ใส่เรื่องย่อหรือแนวคิดของสารคดี ความยาว 500 – 1,000 ตัวอักษร
- สุดท้ายให้ตรวจสอบความถูกต้อง ก่อนบันทึกข้อมูลทั้งหมด เมื่อส่งผลงานเรียบร้อยแล้ว สามารถเข้ามาแก้ไขข้อมูลได้ จนถึงวันสุดท้ายที่เปิดรับผลงาน (15 สิงหาคม 2567) และระบบปิดทำการในเวลา 23.59 น. หลังเวลาดังกล่าว ผู้ส่งผลงานยังสามารถ log in เข้ามาดูผลงานของตัวเองได้ แต่ไม่สามารถแก้ไขและส่งภาพใดๆ ได้อีก
*หมายเหตุ : ผู้ส่งผลงานเข้าประกวดที่ผ่านการคัดเลือก 10 ผลงานสุดท้าย ทุกคนจะต้องนำบัตรประชาชนมาแสดงในวันนำเสนอผลงาน โดยบัตรประชาชนต้องตรงกับที่ลงทะเบียนในเว็บไซต์

Tell a story through photographs of the rivers of Southeast Asia.
The submission extended to August 15, 2024
Concept:
Rivers are vital lifelines that nourish lands and sustain life. Over centuries, they have given rise to diverse cultures and civilizations along their banks.
Today, many rivers face threats from human activities like dams, pollution, and climate change, disrupting their natural flows.
By following rivers’ paths, we can unveil essential stories that need to be told—about environmental issues impacting them, the Indigenous peoples and communities who depend on them, and advocating for the protection of rivers that may be overlooked.
Rivers have flowed through history as witnesses to the rise and fall of societies. But now, we must listen to the rivers’ stories before they run dry or are forever altered. These lifelines that sustain our world can no longer be taken for granted.
Geographic Scope:
We invite you to look broadly at the interconnected rivers of Southeast Asia, especially the major rivers like the Mekong, Irrawaddy, Salween, Chaopraya and Red River, as well as the other rivers and tributaries that affect the region’s environment, wildlife, vegetation, and way of life. Depict the facts about the state of the rivers and reveal the challenges faced by both rivers and humans. You can freely interpret the river stories from any perspective.
Submission:

- Entrants must submit ten sequential photographs as one documentary photo story, along with a concept statement of up to 1,000 characters reflecting new perspectives.
- Each of the ten photos must have a caption (up to 300 characters).
Judging Criteria:
- Artistic beauty and composition of the photographs
- Creativity and fresh perspective in presenting the documentary photos
- All photos should qualify as “documentary photographs” that can be sequenced to tell one story

Conditions:
- Eligibility: Open to all individuals, freelance or professional photographers of any age (individuals or teams up to 3 people per team). Each entry can submit only 1 photo story.
- The photo story must be previously unpublished in any public media, contests, etc.
- Photos previously shared on personal social media are allowed if not the complete set or presented as a documentary story concept.
- Retouched photos that distort reality will not be considered.
- Contestants submitting entries must be the photographer and have written the documentary concept themselves. An artificial intelligence (AI) system cannot generate the photos. Contestants must also own the copyright for all submitted photographs, and the submission must not violate any copyrights.
- For submitting entries: Send photos online. Low-resolution files not exceeding 10 MB per photo are accepted. Suppose your entry is selected as one of the 10 finalists. In that case, you must provide the raw files to verify ownership of the photos and prepare high-resolution image files not exceeding 30 MB (or a maximum of 5000 pixels on the longest side) per photo to send to the organizers.
- The top 10 finalists grant Amarin Corporation permission to use their photos for advertising, PR, and exhibitions related to this project.
- The top 10 finalists grant all project sponsors permission to use photos for online PR activities related to this project for 12 months.
- The top 10 finalists grant the main sponsor permission to publish part of their work in a booklet about “River” for 12 months.
- Unless for PR purposes, winners can publish their work elsewhere (except National Geographic Magazine Thai Edition) after 6 months from the results announcement.
- Entries violating any rules will be disqualified.
- Judges reserve rights over judging methods and criteria. Decisions are final.

- Top 10 Finalists Announcement: August 23, 2024, on www.ngthai.com and Facebook: National Geographic Thailand
- Popular Vote: August 30 – September 15, 2024 on Facebook
- Presentation by Top 10 Finalists: Friday, August 30, 2024 (The venue will be announced later.)
- Winners Announcement & Awards: Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Sustainability Expo 2024, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC)
- Photo Exhibition: September 27 – October 6, 2024 at Sustainability Expo 2024, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC)
How to Enter:
- Register at click here, create ID and password, provide details
- Sign in
- Upload 10 sequentially numbered photos as 1 photo story (each file must be at most 10 MB)
- Provide a caption for each photo (≤300 characters)
- Provide the title of the photo story
- Provide concept statement (500-1,000 characters)
- Please verify the accuracy before submitting all information. After submitting your entry, you can still log in and edit the details until the final submission deadline (August 15, 2024). The system will close at 23:59 on that day. After the deadline, contestants can still log in to view their submitted work but cannot make any further edits or photo submissions.
*Note: All contestants whose entries are selected as one of the 10 finalists must present their national ID card on the day of the entry presentation. The ID card must match the one registered on the website.
